Pile driving for The Big Build is expected to return to the area between Terminal B and International Building on July 15, 2009.

Pile driving for the supports of the Big Build's automated people mover will begin on Wednesday, April 1st. Lane closures lasting three to five minutes will occur while the pile is hoisted into position. This process will occur eight times a day.

A new traffic signal has been installed at the intersection of Allan Boyd and outbound Airport Boulevard by Terminal B.

Parking capacity in the Terminal B Hourly and Daily Parking lots will be reduced over the coming weeks to allow for The Big Build construction. Please be aware of signage indicating closed areas of parking.

Construction on the Remote Central Receiving Facility, an enabling project for The Big Build, starts on Wednesday, August 6. Watch for traffic controls for vehicles exiting the Terminal B-2 passenger drop-off area. Drivers may experience minor traffic delays. The new facility will be located just past Terminal B on Lindbergh Drive.

Host Airport Hotel at Sacramento International Airport is closing on August 1, 2008 to make way for construction of the new Central Terminal B, now referred to as The Big Build. The last night guests will stay in the hotel is July 31. Host Airport Hotel has served airport passengers since Sacramento International Airport, previously known as Sacramento Metropolitan Airport, opened in 1967.
