Host Airport Hotel Closing August 1
SACRAMENTO, July 31, 2008 – Host Airport Hotel at Sacramento International Airport is closing on August 1, 2008 to make way for construction of the new Central Terminal B, now referred to as The Big Build. The last night guests will stay in the hotel is July 31.
Host Airport Hotel has served airport passengers since Sacramento International Airport, previously known as Sacramento Metropolitan Airport, opened in 1967.
The Big Build was celebrated with a ground breaking in June of this year, and the new airport terminal will include a multi-story hotel and is scheduled to open in early 2012. During the next few years, airport passengers seeking lodging can visit the Sacramento County Airport System Web site for a list of local hotels with shuttle service to the airport.
Sacramento County Airport System is responsible for planning, developing, operating and maintaining four of the county’s airports: Sacramento International Airport, Executive Airport, Mather Airport and Franklin Field. For more information on the system, visit www.sacairports.org.
